Jesus Christ is the Son of God.\u00a0He is co-equal with the Father and Holy Spirit. Jesus has eternally existed\u00a0<\/span>and\u00a0<\/span>became man at\u00a0His incarnation. He lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0<\/span>perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. Salvation is God\u2019s free gift to us, but we must trust in Christ’s sacrifice for us. We can\u00a0<\/span>never make\u00a0<\/span>up for our\u00a0<\/span>sin by self-improvement or good works. We believe that baptism must be: (1) by being completely immersed under the water\u00a0<\/span>and (2) after salvation. Jesus was immersed and all baptisms in the New Testament were by immersion.\u00a0<\/span>These two facts set the standard for baptism today. Baptism has no saving power, but it is the first\u00a0<\/span>act of obedience symbolizing (1) the believer\u2019s faith in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus,\u00a0<\/span>(2) the believer\u2019s death to sin and the resurrection to walk anew in Christ and (3) the Christian\u2019s\u00a0<\/span>belief that he will die, be buried, and that Jesus will resurrect him from the dead.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n \t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
